The company
Cartoon de Salvo’s giddying cocktail of exceptional storytelling, script-defying impro and live music has been captivating audiences for a decade, everywhere from village halls to main stages, Glastonbury to Hong Kong. In their quest to mess with the live theatre experience, they grew their own stage for 2005’s allotment-set outdoor theatre event The Sunflower Plot, transformed a washing line into wartime Britain with Meat & Two Veg, and terrified everyone for Christmas with The Ratcatcher of Hamelin (2005-06) at BAC.
"Surreal, unpretentious, swashbuckling theatre"

The assembly
Part-gig, part juke-box, part-theatre but entirely a voyage of discovery, Hard Hearted Hannah...tells a different story every night. You choose from a playlist of sassy and bittersweet songs inspired by the Jug Band music of the American South - think souped-up washboards, guitars, banjos and cider jugs for bass. Then the Salvo’s will spin a yarn using only your imagination and the thin air.
Every performance of this improvised show will be entirely unique. |
