The company
Charles Linehan is an acclaimed dance maker, described by The Guardian as "One of our classiest choreographers", recognised for making work that is of consistently high quality with a finely tuned sense of balance across the elements of movement, light and music. His work speaks with subtle potency of the quality and nature of human interaction; detailed and intimate it can be described as miniaturist.
“As Linehan has proved for over a decade now, the best things often come in the least hyped packages”
The Observer, October 2007

The assembly
The Way Station is a new duet for Rahel Vonmoos and Greig Cooke accompanied by live music from Serbian music collective Belgradeyard SoundSystem using double bass and samples, and with lighting that conjures up memories of ships quietly passing in the cool calm of the night. Built up of layers of eloquent emotional and kinetic detail the duet suggests and reveals the fault-lines and meeting points such as one might find in the every day playing out of relationships. |
